Art in the Wild – 7/10-7/14/2011

The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the work of Andy Goldsworthy – an artist who creates installations in nature using only materials he finds at the installation site. The installations we create on the grounds at Audubon will be on display during Art in the Woods, July 16 and 17, 2011.

Sunday: Introductions and Orientation
Get to know your instructor and your fellow classmates. View Rivers & Tides – a documentary about Andy Goldsworthy.
These evening sessions will involve getting to know our installation space, learning some techniques for making art with ONLY natural and found materials, and creating the installation.
